KOLO / KOLOTUS

In finnish KOLO means a nest, a safe place animals dig for themselves to hide from the harsh world around them. Suitable for rats and rabbits alike... Whoever you are, KOLO will shelter you right in the heart of the city.

KOLO / KOLOTUS is a cosy Helsinki guesthouse intended for people looking for an alternative to an ordinary hotel stay. KOLO is situated in Ullanlinna. KOLO is in the inner yard of an old house built in the 1905's by Lars Snork . Ullanlinna has a history as an upperclass neighborhood, but nowadays it is a cool and trendy place to live in. You will find nice restaurants, bars and cosy cafes all around. The city centre is whitin a short walk and you can take a tram within the same block.The seaside is within a 3 minute walk. You can have a swim in Uunisaari, a very small island a 2 minute boat ride away.( costs 3 €)

Here You will find furniture and paintings by finnish artists and designers. KOLO comprises of a living room with one 120 cm wide bed with a kitchen and a bathroom.The kitchen is wholly equipped for cooking if you prefer it instead of restaurants. All kitchenware are from Iittala and Marimekko. Kolo has a broadband Internet connection, refridgerator and hairdryer and a washing machine.

The price includes coffee and tea for breakfast. A full breakfast is not included.
